What is “The Live Movement?”

MISSION

The mission of the Live Movement is to build a national coalition of students to advocate for education reforms and academic advancement of Black education for all Black students.

PURPOSE

We must LIVE for those who died. The purpose of the Live Movement is to build a national coalition of students, young and old, that advocates for the advancement of Historically Black Colleges and University students, and Black education nationwide. We define Black education as the intentional process of receiving or giving systematic instruction by educational institutions Kindergarten through Graduate School through the lens of the African Diaspora. We work to combat the education disparities that face Black students in America through direct grassroots projects specifically designed for Black youth and through federal advocacy of education policy reform.
